Comfrey is a broad-leafed garden plant whose familiar green leaves are covered with fuzzy hairs. Comfrey can be applied topically to soothe bruises, skin ulcers, and joint inflammation. It can also be soothing in cases of itchy or dry skin. Comfrey can also reduce inflammation.
Hibiscus is a natural source of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA's) which assist in exfoliating, controlling oil production, minimizing clogged pores, and making the skin look younger. It also contains anti-oxidants that will protect the skin from environmental toxins and pollutants, and improve complexion.
By adding hot water to this floral mixture the concentrated herbs will release these properties through the steam it creates. The warmth will open your pores, allowing your skin to fully receive the benefits the herbs have to offer.

Cleanse skin. Add 2 tbsp facial steam to 4 cups boiling water in a bowl. Drape towel over head and lean over botanical water. Steam face no longer than 10 minutes from a comfortable distance. Follow with our micro cleansing or clay mask, toner, and moisturizer. The remaining herbal tea can be strained and used as liquid for a clay face mask, floral skin mist, or as a refreshing hair rinse. You may refrigerate leftover floral water for up to one week.
