Our Mission

In 2015, I was rocking my youngest son to sleep, and I noticed the tiniest hint of glitter from my makeup on his cheek. It was a small moment, but it made me stop and wonder. What exactly was I putting on my skin, and were these products safe for my family?

I started looking for better options. What I found didn’t reassure me. Truly clean products were hard to find, harder to trust, and rarely delivered results. I quickly realized the problem with clean beauty went beyond ingredients. It wasn't just about knowing what was in the bottle. It was about finding trustworthy-products that actually worked.

That realization sparked a mission: to create high-quality clean beauty products that make an effective, thoughtful beauty routine simpler.

I took matters into my own hands and started creating cleaner formulas that delivered the results I wanted. The more I experimented, the more curious I became. I didn’t just want to make better products. I wanted to understand the skin, the ingredients, and the science behind why they worked.

So, I kept learning. I took courses in organic cosmetic formulation, building a deeper understanding of ingredients and small-batch production. In 2023, I became a Master Esthetician, expanding my knowledge of how the skin functions and what it truly needs.I spent years learning, testing, refining, and building a philosophy rooted in one simple idea: beauty shouldn’t be complicated to be clean, effective, or trustworthy. 

That at-home project has since grown into withSimplicity, a nationally-recognized, award-winning, clean skincare and makeup line built on years of experience, education, and expertise. 

Today, withSimplicity is a complete self-care experience, bringing together skincare, makeup, body care, and expert skin services all under one ethos: Clean beauty, simplified. 

Our flagship store and headquarters in Harrisonburg, Virginia is home to The Skin Spa at withSimplicity, a holistic spa experience where every service is centered around the products we create and brought to life by our licensed master estheticians.

And through The wS School of Esthetics, we’re helping shape the next generation of estheticians, equipping them with the knowledge, skills and philosophy to carry a simpler, more thoughtful approach to beauty into spas and skincare routines across the country.
